Recently my wife and I embarked on a project which involved replacement of windows throughout our entire house. While my wife simply wanted "new windows" as an architect I was very concerned that the new windows match the appearance of the existing wood windows and fit in with the exterior color scheme, since I had recently re-painted the exterior siding and trim myself. In addition, we wanted the windows to have a maintenance free exterior, be thermally efficient, and have new interior sills and trim that closely matched the existing woodwork.
Having specified windows in the past for numerous projects, I was well aware of the various window manufacturers and suppliers. After researching several manufacturers, my wife and I decided that we wanted to have sole-source responsibility encompassing both providing and installing the windows. This eliminated several of the major manufacturers, and we eventually selected Marvin Windows and Siciliano Remodeling and Construction Services to the the project. SCS offered the best price and included replacement of all window sills, which other pricing had not included.
Sixteen windows were replaced within one week, with some minor exterior trim completed later. During the installation the installers, Kevin Sheard, and Don Brink and installer Joe Archer worked closely with myself and Stephen Siciliano of SCS on various aspects of the window installation detailing. One aspect with which I was particularly pleased was the sill detail, which was a custom detail I worked out with the installers during one of our regular morning job conferences.
In summary, both my wife and I were very pleased with the outcome of the installation. I've known Steve professionally for may years and would highly recommend he, SCS, and their installers for any future project.

The Contractors you used for the windows, siding and stucco work did an excellent job and showed complete professionalism from the time they arrived until they left. This work was completed in a timely manner. The clean up of the area and removal of all debris was complete and thorough. The work performed by these contractors is a credit to your corporation. UnUnfortunatelyhe contractor used in the remodeling of the bathroom provided less than satisfactory woworkver an extended period of time. While this was an unfortunate situation fofor allf us involved, we must cocommendou and your Project Manager, Joe Archer, for your honesty in your opinion of the work involved and your desire to provide complete customer satisfaction.
Joe Archer did not hesitate to obobtainhe opinion of other professionals as to the condition of the work involved and how to correct it. While it would be obvious that you would want to do a quick fix, that is not what occurred. These professionals recommend that most of the work had to be torn out and redone and that is exactly what you agreed to do. No questions asked.
While I understand how difficult it is to convince a contractor to take on a job that was botched by someone else, you and your Project Manager through your many contacts were able to find two people, Mike Scott and Jared Gard, took on the task and deserve some special credit for doing so. Both these men showed exceptional and professional work ethics. The work performed by the men showed the extent of their knknowledgend experience, not to mention their desire for perfection. You don't want to lose these guys.
Once again we would like to you know that you and your corporation are a credit to the building and remodeling trade. You have shown that quality work and customer sasatisfactionre your main concern. Unfortunately as a result of a subcontractor what happened your case cut into your profit, bubuthis showed your inintegrityn standing behind your work and more importantly your word.
